Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with interruptions to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated strikes on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and applying sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A young boy died and three other people were injured.

The assaults come after periods of aerial attacks in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to identify.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated utility staff and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
